What the listing confirms
The official text calls Pixel Lineage a fast turn-based roguelike and says basic controls are explained in-game. Publisher guides add quick-time prompts for attacks and dodges. Button names below are the reported action bar, so trust the labels on your screen if a patch renames them.
Your turn
The reported commands are:
- Attack. A slider registers Miss, Good, or Perfect. Perfect hits are what build the combo.
- Skills. These spend Energy. A reported Warrior example is Shoulder Bash, which dazes, and Earthsplitter.
- Guard. Cuts incoming damage and widens the next defense window.
- Meditate. Skips the attack to recover Energy.
- Satchel. Uses a tonic, elixir, or scroll without treating it as a weapon swing.
When the enemy acts, a defense prompt appears. Landing it is a block or dodge. Missing it against a Floor 10 boss or a champion is how a life disappears in one turn.
Energy, pets, and talents
Arcane Spark starts a fight with one extra Energy and is the talent that helps a Mage open with a spell. A pet's Energy Heal can cover the same gap later. Meditate is the fallback when both are missing. Survivor's Endure can leave you at 1 HP once per battle, and only if the lethal hit starts while you are above 20 percent HP. It does not fire twice, and it does not fire from a sliver of health.
You can sell unwanted gear from the inventory during a run. That Gold is still lost with the run if you have not banked it at the Inn.
